Reflexology is a very effective relaxation therapy (classified as “Complementary and Alternative Medicine”). Because it supports every system in the body, it’s benefits are considerable. Regular Reflexology treatments have been shown, amongst other things to improve circulation, relieve physical and psychological stress and tension, reduce inflammation and improve energy. which is supportive for many disorders including stress, Anxiety, Depression, pain, digestive disorders, infertility, difficult periods, menopausal symptoms, sleep difficulties, respiratory disorders, headaches, diabetes, arthritis, fatigue and more. It can also be used to support those experiencing side effects of cancer treatment or disorders of the immune system. We love the way that Reflexology directly supports a client’s physical body enables us to support and calm their nervous system. As it assists the whole body to deeply relax it also triggers our inbuilt healing mechanisms which allow our mind and body to return to working (and sleeping, and moving, and thinking and functioning!) at its best. It can either be used by itself, or as a complement to other treatments (including Life Coaching) and is based on the principle that all organs, glands and other body structures are able to be positively impacted by stimulating specific nerve endings (reflexes) in the feet and hands. It is non- invasive, and only involves the use of finger and thumb pressure on the target areas. Auricular Therapy (a branch of Reflexology) works with the reflexes on the ears, and can include the application of ear seeds to support the client’s body between sessions. Reflexology for Anxiety, PTSD and Pregnancy We specialise in Reflexology for anxiety, PTSD and depression (including anxiety related to Pregnancy and birth). Our mission is to provide outstanding support and care to people through all life stages through the use of this powerful therapy. How many sessions will you need? Generally, 4 treatments one week apart are recommended to kickstart things. After that we suggest another two treatments about a fortnight apart to support the newly established equilibrium and thereafter a monthly “maintenance” treatment if at all possible.
